I must commend Dr Coetzee for the professional service and the clear and concise manner in which we discussed my pending operation. The operation has been a success and I experienced Dr Coetzee as having excellent communication skills, showing empathy for his patients and being a caring and concerned medical practitioner.

I was extremely dissapointed when the patients I referred to dr Coetzee reported back to me saying their visit was not a pleasant one. Apart from charching R1200 for not even 10 minute consultations. He rolled his eyes getting obviously irritated with them. This really saddens me because years ago he was an amazing man with amazing bedside manners and empathy. Did he now get to big for his shoes? So sad to hear bad feedback. Come on doc you were a child of God and this is not how I remembered you. Stay humble to do Gods work or your talents could be taken from you. The person on opposite side of your desk went thru hell financially and mentally to come and see you. What would Jesus do in your shoes? Do NOT bow down before Mammon please. Be blessed and stay humble before the living God.

The visit to this doctor was an absolute waste of time and money. Not even doing a proper check after I told him that another doctor suspects scoliosis. Only send me for an MRI only for the lower back, not doing any effort in finding the problem, he only listens with half an ear. I really hoped that this doctor would be one of those who try to find a solution, but he didn't, just povide you with a script, which my local GP provided me a few times before. The service this doctor or provide is pathetic to say the least. Being an expert in scoliosis, I really expected a more thorough examination.

An excellent surgeon and an excellent all round experience at Faerie Glen Hospital for spinal fusion surgery and 2 discs replaced in my neck. 1 day after surgery in high care I was walking about without any pain for the first time in ages. I started walking 5km per day within 2 days and driving again within 2 weeks of the surgery. The surgical incision was almost completely healed within 2 weeks. I would thoroughly recommend Dr Coetzee to anyone needing their neck's looked after.

Have been with him for around 10years.He used to be nice but I agree totally with other gentleman in reviews that his bedside manners have become atrocious. He does not care to listen properly. Is condescending and rude. Even our GP told us how rude he is to them. I suspect he is not this way with new patients? He is a good surgeon though.
