Picked up hire car from Hatfield depot, after booking through AutoEurope. Staff were efficient and paperwork completed. Then had to go and collect car from underground garage where another employee checked car, along with myself, and marked down any scratches, etc on paperwork. Car was a new Renault Clio. Encountered first problem on toll road when E-toll was not working - no money on the account. Made sure we had receipts for E-tolls to show to staff on our return. All went well and refuelled car at garage just round corner from depot. Guage was showing full and showed staff receipt for petrol. STILL GOT CHARGED A REFUELLING CHARGE OF 91 RANDS. Apparently ALL cars are refuelled regardless of what is showing on guage, and charge made. Didn't happen at another First for Cars branch I used at Kruger Airport! They also don't just block the security deposit - they take it out of your account and then refund. Can lose out there as well if currency exchange rate changes!! NOT IMPRESSED.
