I had my first patient use the hearX self test kit today and I was SO impressed! It was easy to follow - even my patient showed appreciation for that. Together with electrophysiological testing, a definite diagnosis & management plan could be made. hearX keeps on breaking barriers and I can't wait to see what they do next!

Not worth the money in my practice. I was really looking forward to the opportunity of being able to do remote testing for patients. Sadly, this is not the tool for it. Yes, you are able to perform Air Conduction, and some Discrimination. However, you are not able to perform Bone Conduction, which is required in our state, nor are you able to perform Discrimination at the level with which is acceptable for fitting patients with new instruments. The set will be very helpful in pre screen scenarios, or base line exams. Beyond that or for outreach opportunities, we are still trying to figure out how it will be best utilized. My set also did not come with all the parts. On the very first call, I let the company know that I don't have all the components then to make it work. It took well over 2 months to get the piece, along with several requests for it. I was very hopeful it could have been the answer to our dreams, and it just isn't there yet. Although we are not able to perform Bone Conduction that is required for testing in our area, Hear X Group is adding MCL and UCL and continuing to listen to the needs of the people whom have purchased this unit. I appreciate their forward thoughts and trying to accommodate those requests.

I've been using hearscope since it was first released. First on android phone now on desktop (love the desktop btw). I find it an invaluable part of my kit. It is light, compact and portable, and I no longer have to lean/bend over for otoscopy, which is much better for my back and neck. Highly recommended.

The HearX app for hearing screening is a wonderful means of quickly checking for hearing issues. 3 minutes and you're done! We share it on The Audiology Project website. I'd love to see more audiology clinics with the app on their website and sharing the page with physician offices. A huge need for objectively checking for the invisible handicap of hearing loss when the patient has diabetes, heart and kidney issues or ototoxic meds.
