They will pay providers alright. I've had no major issue with provider claims. Attempting to recover your money if you pay cash is a nightmare. Absolutely appalling. I am still currently waiting for payment over a claim that I submitted more than a month ago. This is as a result of a consultant that I spoke to initially who seemingly had no clue what she was doing. The consultant who helped me 2nd was great, she did her job and provided support. I am waiting to see if that bears any fruit.

The call center has the most pathetic service I have ever experienced. I had to wait more than 30min on the line just for someone to answer the phone. The hospital authorisation I requested was captured wrong. it seems they have a staff competency problem. I hope someone will call me back to try and sort out the problem.
Umvuzo paid my cancer treatment nesrly in full .The staff members ( Consultants) are always very helpful and trust me they will return your calls . Thanks for your excellent service rendering to me.
In my experience this is a great medical aid. They pay out claims fast and efficiently, they look after their members and support them as much as they can. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Keep up the good work Umvuzo.

Umvuso Health consultants are misleading. I went through company transition which with information provided from consultant went over to Umvuso . There was no waiting period . I was scheduled for a scan which now they have declined due to no benefit. Unexpected sickness is reality which they now clasify me as a new member where I was with same company on Discovery for 15 years. Company approached us with transition option to change. I was reassured that it would have no impact. To my surprise it was all lies My advise to all do not consider Umvuso at all. You will be faced with any declined procedures which will put your life at risk. Worse first bad experience ever.
I'm suprised to see Busi R who's an employee of the scheme writing a review which stands out from the rest because it's the only 5* the scheme got. The call back service should be deleted and not even mentioned because nobody will call you back. I have a feeling 2 people work in that office because your call is 9/10 unlikely to be answered. I've been with them 3 months and can tell you that even though I'll be paying much more at Bonitsa I'm finding my way back.
Received an unauthorized debit order from them when I didn't even receive a sales call. They're a scam. Won't even pick up the phone when I call them to ask where they got my authorization from.
