It was really a pleasure dealing with the Moroccan Embassy today... The second day. The security guard is actually a very nice guy once you get to know him.

After a minor hiccup at the embassy upon his first visit, my husband was pleasantly attended to by a gentleman by the name of Mr Naji. He was extremely warm and helpful and managed to provide my husband with a Visa to visit the country of Morocco while he awaits a connecting flight. He is very exciting to visit the mosque and experience the the city of Casablanca, its food, culture and more of its friendly people. Thank you Mr Naji.

Great staff with great manners. I also thank Mr Najis good will and plans to show Moroccos great potential and advancement. My visit to Morocco has proven that his words are right!

Good thing I persisted with my visa because Morocco is fantastic, but their embassy is terrible. They had my passport for a month, (with perfect paperwork). I got it, with a visa, 3 days before my flight, and only after I said I was cancelling my trip and coming to collect my passport, visa or no visa. Applications only 9-10 Mon-Thurs. Collections 2:30. They also close for Moroccan public holidays, which can be decided at the last minute. The website hadn't been updated in 2 years. Fees vary according to the exchange rate, about R330 cash; they don't give change. You can use a visa agent. They told me to phone them to find out if my visa was ready. When I phoned they told me not to phone them, they'd phone me. They didn't. I kept on phoning (redialling about 10 times per call) and was fobbed off with a series of stories. It was beyond stressful and frustrating.

It seems to be impossible to contact the Embassy now - the phone answering service (which is all I get, even between 9 and 11 am) says the mailbox is full and cannot accept any more messages. The email address give in on the website bounces. The website looks good, but misses the important details, such as HOW to pay that visa fee. Also doesn't alert one to the fact that the Embassy is open only for two hours a day - until one starts researching that specifically. Very frustrating. I have no idea how I'm supposed to get my visa - I live in Cape Town and the official event I'm attending starts in less than weeks.

Amazingly great staff, specially Mr.Naji who has many times facilitated my travel to Morocco! I am therefore happy to announce that Morocco is the most fascinating place on earth with its culture and history. My first time requesting visa from the embassy in 2015 was hell. The embassy was a joke, very dirty. When I came back a year and a half later, there was a noticable difference in the organisation! Again in 2018 (my latest visit) was most surprising! No more shouting, more organisation, and definitally more charm and manners!
