I attended QGHS in 2011 therefore I speak of those times, hopefully things have changed. The teachers were not approachable nor willing to go the extra mile to help a learner. The teachers would also pick on certain learners and get Learner Leaders to force learners to write apology letters to anonymous teachers for reasons unknown. Violence and drugs are not uncommon in most of Durban's schools, however these events were always kept secret at QGHS and a front of innocence was always portrayed. Now if I were a parent, I would prefer to know what was happening at my child's school. Overall my experience was unpleasant, the only thing I enjoyed was Sport after school. I will admit I did learn a few things at QGHS, one of them being to always stand up for myself even if that means being labelled as disrespectful or rebellious.

It's a very good school
I still go to this school the teachers are nice and they do their best to help Sports wise I love it
Loved my time at QGHS back in the early 2000's, everyone from the teachers to the principal were amazing. Extensive grounds, lots of class choices and a great selection of extra mural activities. We Will Strive, Conabor!
Making sure the learners feel comfortable and have fun isnt the main priority and that isnt great
I am not sure what QGHS is like now but my daughter matriculated there in 2001 and was happy there.
My daughter has been at this School from grade 8 up until grade 12 and she has enjoyed her time at the School.
