My son went to make payment for the learners. It took over 2 hours. Apparently a copy of his ID was required. Initially no such copy was requested at the Roodeport offices when my other son went to make payment. There appears to be a scam whereby the teller requests a copy and directs my son to a comrade outside the gates to make a copy of his ID for a fee. There should be an investigation pertaining to this.

If i could give this place 0 stars i would. If you don't have colddrink money then you probably won't pass. Examiner "Easy" did not even let me do my interior and exterior checks. He was rushing through all the stops and is absolutely rude.

Its a place that we are unfortunately forced to endure with no directional or info boards around its not likely you will know where to go for your requirement, so i can try explain that the first large building on the right as you enter is for booking and organizing learners licenses and collecting your new drivers licence card, further in is another smaller building where you go to renew your licence which requires you to have done an online appointment booking prior. This is aldo where you should be prepared to wait and be bounced between a bunch of the most enthusiastic looking people until someone will be reluctant to process your application, then having to wait a further 6 weeks for it.

Pleasantly surprised. The staff were helpful and polite. I had booked my appointment and had done the eye exam at my optometrist so I did not have to stand in the queue for hours. If you are respectful to the staff, they will assist you quicker. Just make sure you have all the documents required to make the process run smoothly. They do not accept cash.

The service was superb and very quickly handled. Even though it is Christmas eve yet the staff was friendly and very helpful. They were closing at 12 and i arrived a few minutes before 12 but yet they were kind and friendly with their assistance. My most pleasant experience at a license testing station and i have been at quite a few

If you want a fair test, avoid this testing station at all cost. If an officer known as " The Chief" takes you for your test you fail before you even start! He is not interested in testing your capability as he only screams at you and do not even bother to watch while you are busy performing his instructions. How can you test a person without watching the performance?If you have a small car, he will have to fail you in the yard as he will never fit in your car to take you on the road.
