Got a Late response that i did not have medical savings left. Reached out to Stratum... They responded that the claim is older than 6x months. Didn't know that they only assess claims within 6x months after treatment. Even though the Covid situation made things a bit tight....

One star is perhaps too much. I have been trying to get cover since August 2019. Initially, the wrong bank account was submitted - my mistake which I immediately corrected. I received an email from Sharon Tommy confirming she had corrected the bank accounts on the system. Do I wish to proceed using an agent? I declined and said to proceed without an agent (still November 2019). In January I inquired about why no installments have been deducted from my account, to which they replied, i never confirmed if I want to proceed. I sent them the email AGAIN. The whole transaction took them too long to register and they were too late to deduct my January installment, so I had to pay double in Feb.. This week I received an email stating my policy has been cancelled as no installments were received. I called - THEY NEVER AMENDED THE BANK DETAILS. Best to just cancel and go through Discovery. Just a bit more expensive, but probably best to pay a tad more and know the admin will be fine when something DOES go wrong

Fantastic Gap Cover and Co-Payment cover. Never had any problems with them and they always pay within the cover bounds. The negative reviews by so many people is baseless as people do not read the small print and the cover rules and are then upset that they are not getting covered etc.

I am very disgusted with the service from Stratum. I've put in a claim in August'19 and still they are requesting documents from me in drips and draps! If they cannot settle a claim of R500 how can I ever trust them to submit a hospital claim if I ever need to!! I am definitely cancelling my poilicy with them!

Reason for my 1star rating is because of their website's online help service, I was assisted by Carmen, who managed to waste my time. as I struggled to get a proper answer from her, and on the last time I talked to her, she sent "Let me forward this through to our Unity Consultant to assist." so i thought either I am being transferred or she will advise that they will contact me back, but instead she wasted over 40min of my time not answering any of my responses, even thou I asked if I should stay online, or wait to be contacted. when I finally lost my patients and said I'm leaving, she asked for my number to call me, now do you think I want to talk to someone who already wasted 40min of my day. terrible, unprofessional & just rude. not even apologizing for it. all I can say is be ready to wait when you contact her, and even when my fiancé contacts her she always received half hearted answers, which at the end helped nothing.
