Was recommended this place. Went for brekkie ordered the French Toast and asked that my bacon be crispy. I was impressed with the food and service by waitress who confirmed if my bacon was crispy enough before she put my plate down. Coffee was great as well. Price reasonable. Will definitely be back

The best brunch spot in Jozi. The food is amazing and it is so reasonably priced. You truly get to eat good food in a Jhb restaurant at a fraction of the normal price. The place is always packed but the wait is definitely worth it. I would like to see the staff being more hands on, on two occasions we have had to ask to be attended to. You walk in, get shown your table and then you sit there waiting for someone to attend to you.

Our first experience at the Whippet. It was amazing. The service was impeccable and the food gorgeous. Funky and fun. Highly recommended. We will return regularly.

So classy! Great coffee. Run by good humans. Love how they support the local community. The avo toast is a favourite.

Very average coffee experience. Service always poor. Not an espresso I can recommend. Prices are too high for what they offer. Place had a lot of potential when it opened but sadly did not live up to expectations. Can be "saved though". Situated in a good spot and nice "dead" suburb. Ideal location for a great coffee shop. Just deliver.

The wait was totally worth the visit. The best poached egg I have ever seen and tasted. The buttermilk chicken benedict is a must have. Its so filling i took half home. Look at that runny yolk, no runny egg white to be seen. The cocktails are divine. And the creme brule coffee latte is just as amazing. Its no wonder there is about a 20-30 min wait time. But guys its worth it. We did go during brunch times, so early morning might not be such a traffic jam. If anything go for a walk and work up an appetite.

Went for a bookclub brunch on a Saturday morning. The place was packed so we waited for a table and were thrilled to get complimentary champagne. The staff are helpful, welcoming and efficient. The food is wonderful and the vibe is fantastic and upbeat.

Absolutely loved this place. The food and drinks were too good. It was just a bit noisy, but all was well
