Great service which was fast and efficient. The food was tasty and the beverages were great. The bathrooms are really clean. There is inside and outside seating. There is wheelchair friendly parking and the entrance is wheelchair accessible. Definitely recommend stopping here if you stop in Riviersonderend.

Service was quick. Breakfast was hot and portions were generous.Lovely organic coffee. Liked your coffee mugs....it felt like home. Busy atmosphere with lots of tourists and holidaymakers.
Very quick service, super friendly staff. The menu is a bit smaller than a normal spur, but still has all the good stuff like breakfasts, burgers and steak. Toilet facilities were also great and lots of space to have a pram if necessary.
Love their ice-cream cones!!! Seems like every franchise has its own price. This place charged R7 a cone. Another one closer to George charged R4,50. We ordered food as well. Took a while to get it. Overall good experience. Highly recommended.
Great food. Great place. Doubt it gets as much traffic as the first stops here but it should. It is really clean. Very friendly people and lovely food
A great restaurant, I love this particular Spur. They have a great steak menu, but cater for everyone, so even a vegetarian could enjoy ia meal. It’s a family restaurant, so it’s kids friendly and the decibels are high. Having said that, there’s a playground for the kids and the service is fast. It’s conveniently set up next to garage , convenience store, relatively clean restrooms, and an ATM . Overall, a great place to stop over, fill up and freshen up on the N2 en route to Cape Town or wherever.
On route between Plettenberg Bay and Cape Town in overcast soft drizzly weather. I was hoping a Spur Grill breakfast and coffee will be a the perfect breakfast on a chilly mornings and a welcome stop-over in a more than 500km journey. I order coffee and a toastie of egg and chees from a delightful waitress, Tandy. The coffee was the perfect temperature. I was looking forward to, after three hundred kilometres into my journey to the fried eggs and toast. The welcome toastie of cheese and eggs arrived well presented. However I could not get myself to eat the meal in spite of the fact that I was pretty hungry. The underside of the friend eggs were burbt black and tasted of burnt oil as it was obviously cooked in unclean pans. I requested to speak to the managers, who was most apologetic. I left the restaurant without eating the meal and was not charged for it either. The location is a perfect stopover on route, a pity the food did not live up to expectations.
Absolutely terrible experience. We stopped to "Grab" a toasted sandwich and a coffee. We waited nearly 30 mins only to be told "don't worry, it's coming". We then eventually got our order, got back on the road and then had to turn around and go back as the order was completely wrong. Both sandwiches were wrong. How do you mess up 2 simple toasted sandwiches?! No apology, no explanation. Got our money back and left with no food! Definitely won't be returning. Disappointed, as I thought Spur had a good thing going with this concept, but clearly I was as mistaken.
