We have been going to Golden Rose for so long and it is STILL incredible. Vegetarians, try the bean curd and brown sauce, homey deliciousness. Excellent sushi as well and well priced. Covid protocols are great too - all round excellence. Go there. Go now.

A great variety of dishes to choose from. Sushi is fresh and and delicious. Not a single thing to complain about. I'll be coming back again and again.
Golden Rose, Florida Glen, tonight I placed my order, looking at the receipt, I discovered that only 6 boiled dumplings was on my receipt, after ordering 12. R43 for 6 or R63 for 12. I went to the counter to rectify and pay the difference for the 12 I ordered. I was told I need to pay another R43 for the other 6 because the order was rung up already. Now why would I pay R86 when 12 are R63. The lady behind the counter was adamant that I pay the R43, I refused, cancelled the entire order, took my money back and left. You lose an order of over R500 for R23, clearly you can afford to lose a customer instead of rectifying the order. The mind boggles. All I can do is laugh at your logic or lack thereof.
Always enjoy the dishes and sushi we order here. Always fresh.
Sushi was good. Tom tum soup had breaded prawns in, no chili, no fish sauce and no lime juice. Beef ramen broth qas good, but egg was boiled blue and beef tasted very off. Thai green chicken curry was made with rehydrated meat. Never again.
I am a fussy sushi eater so I was very pleased to find this Golden Rose - the variety meant that I would be more than satisfied. There are also very good week-time specials making this venue very good sushi-value for money. Whilst sitting there I noted many people coming in for Chinese ...need to test that sometime, but the sushi is just so good :-)
