This medical aid has a list of Preferred Providers for certain medical procedures. This is very limiting as thinking individuals are able to select a specialist of their choice based on research and should be able to use their discretion on their preferred surgeon. A medical aid should then approve the procedure within the limits and a member can co-pay the shortfall if their preferred surgeon is more expensive. Monthly membership rates are also not competitive for individuals.
