I phoned to request a script for cortisone as he had prescribed this for me previously for the same thing - allergic reaction to non steroidal anti-inflammatories which results in a very persistent rash. Unfortunately use of a Transact patch resulted in the same reaction hence my request. The receptionist told me to send an email with this request. There has been absolutely no response - if he wouldn't give me one then sending a response email saying "No" would suffice. Instead I have been totally ignored. It's not as if I was asking for Morphine or Opioids or some other highly addictive medication.

Dr. Pillay was very accommodating and made time for an urgent walk-in. He was very professional and ensured I understood the what's and why's during the consultation. He was patient and polite throughout the consultation. Would certainly recommended his practice.

Very knowledgeable doctor and has very sophisticated equipment. Easy to get an appointment and he is timeous give or take a few minutes. He has a very good bed side manner. However unfortunately he is very expensive, pushes the use of his accompanying beauty salon, the use of expensive commercial products on display. His treatment was not helping but irritating another ailment of mine. So I sadly had to find another dermatologist who appears to stop my skin problem very affordably with one pill. Surprisingly he didn't want any follow up appointments but rather asked to watsapp him on the progress, that suited me.

I would not recommend Dr. Pillay. We had taken our 2 children to him during the lockdown as they were suffering with a horrible rash on their faces. The treatment he had given was not successful in clearing up the rash and when we had phoned to get further advice (whether we should just continue with the treatment or if we need to come and see him again), we were told to send a mail. I followed up the call with a mail to the doctor only to receive an automated email telling us he does not do over-the-phone consults... This is the first time I have encountered a doctor so caught up with getting another consult fee that he was not willing to give me a call and advise me about what would be best. I even sent pictures of the kids skin so he could see how the treatment had progressed over the 2 weeks. I wasn't looking for a free consult just a 5 min call to let me know what I needed to do and him and his rude secretaries could not give me that.

While the Doctor is very skilled and has wonderful bedside manners, it is near impossible to contact his offices and also for this reason, when I became extremely sick as a result of having too much cortisone reacting to a blood disorder I have which was part of the prescription to the point of having to go to the ER his receptionists said they would call and for weeks neither the doctor nor his receptionists have called and I’ve been sick and without treatment for my dermatological problems for weeks. Brilliant Doctor, terrible service. But health, happiness and safety to anyone reading this. I hope everyone finds the medical help they deserve.
