Good for kids
I simply cannot believe that this slice of paradise exists in the middle of the city. I walk/jog here at least once a week and just don't ever get bored of the place. Never overly crowded, but you'll almost always pass a friendly face during a walk. You might even be able to spot a yoga class on the lawn or a tour guide showing off to a couple of foreigners. Very much my go to for a quiet, relaxing time outdoors without having to drive a hundred kilometers. PS. Just a thank you to Maria from ManeAttraction Hairstylists who mentioned this place to me.

Beautiful walk so clean ..just like how all out river walks in SA should be for everyone
Hidden GEM in the ️of Edenburg. Easy access via 8th Avenue. Parking sufficient but can see that it can get full. So lots going, some craft stalls along the route, some “Private properties “ to walk through(you’ll c) and owl boxes, ducks , birds, people catching , all in between the houses. REAL pitty that the storm water brings trash down the river BUT lots of effort to clean and pick up, even on a Sunday!! Good on them. So definitely recommend this walk, all people and their dogs very friendly and even some places to have a spot of picnic, so pack in some goodies and head for some R&R...
Love this place, real hidden gem in Morningside/Sandton. Just wished there was a less litter/dog poo. Pretty great spot to see ducks breed and there are currently plenty of ducklings
Loved the walk on the river with my family. We haven't been in a while because it's been super busy since the pandemic. Good to be quiet again. Nature, water and the family
Peaceful, great place for meditation \u200d️, walking
What an awesome walk. Lots of dogs and kids, really family friendly
