We had lovely vegan lasagne here last week, and everyone really was smiling. No special treatment (flower on table/comp dessert - whatever) for a birthday celebration even though it was kindly 'requested' by a well meaning out of town offspring who made the booking - but hey. Good vibes were plenty and the fact that no animals were harmed in the preparation of these meals, more than makes up for it. It is also convenient that the Gin Bar in the shop around the corner provides drinks which you can then bring to enjoy with your meal. Everyone wins. Li-o-La is extremely highly recommended. Well done to the charming owner/chef. We will most definitely be back.

The best lunch my husband and I have ever had. We have eaten at a lot of vegan restaurants in JHB but Li-O-La beats them all. Such friendly guys working there and such a happy environment. The artichoke pizza is the best and the custard slice is even better. We are already planning on going back there this weekend.

If you haven’t been to Li-o-la, I am telling you: make the trip! This place’s food is mind-blowing. Their pizzas are divine, their burgers are amazing and their pasta is a near-religious experience. The puttanesca is glorious and absolutely a must try! I can’t actually rave about this place enough. The prices are also super reasonable. Did I mention they have vegan malva pudding? Because they have vegan malva pudding! And it’s awesome! Really, this is some of the best food I’ve ever enjoyed in my life. Even if you are not vegan, this place is a must for epic Italian food. The chef and staff are wonderful and the atmosphere is so welcoming that you just want to stay and eat more and more.

Ah what a lovely experience we had at Liola! The food was amazing! I had the butternut and mushroom risotto which was absolutely delicious and such value for money! Definitely one of the best meals I’ve had in the Garden Route. The chef’s are also incredibly friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back soon.

This place is incredible! The staff are so friendly, we ordered a black beard burger and it was the best burger we have ever had - vegan or not! We will be back soon to try everything else

Me and my ma come here once almost every week, the staff are very friendly and treat us like we're long time friends/family not to mention their food is divine (I recommend you try both their pasta and burgers.), If you're looking for a chill place to relax along with healthy food and a cold beer then Li-O-La is definetly the place for you.
