We had an incredible experience at Camp George on a vacation in mid-March. The lodge and grounds are beautiful, the rooms and facilities are immaculate, and the staff were incredibly kind, generous, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was a positive experience. We truly felt a bond with our ranger, Rowan, who was super knowledgeable, fun, and dedicated to helping us experience the biodiversity and wildlife of the Kruger. The food was incredible as well - as high quality as you could get in many great restaurants, and we loved the culinary team who came out to explain everything we were eating. They even made me a homemade birthday cake since we were celebrating my birthday! The game drives were awesome, and we took advantage of their workout room as well as the spa, too. We can't wait to come back again and bring the rest of our family!

Camp George is a fantastic place where you can relax in luxury while being surrounded by nature. Service is impeccable so is the food served by a top class chef. Our ranger, Vivian, was very knowledgeable and went the extra mile to accommodate us and also took us on a bush walk where we spotted a heard of elephants. We loved it and we will definetely go back.

DO NOT BOOK THERE I stayed at camp George and the experience was bad from the booking to the end. Information pre-booking was very complicated. A lot of information was missing and they made mistakes when making a quote (wrong dates and lower price), which they would not honour on premise at our arrival. The game drives were precisely 3 hours or less; they never exceeded the time and hurried to get back to camp if we were closing in on 3h. They also had no respect for the Covid regulations of limited capacity and had 8 guests the guide on one game drive vehicle. The reserve is said to be 12 000 hectares. Once there, we learn that they don't have traversing rights most of the time for 5000/12000 and need to request permission for some of the property of the remaining 7000 hectares. Then on top of that, we ordered a bottle of wine at 450 rand and the waiter brought the wrong bottle to the table. We did not notice the mistaken swap. At the end, they forced us to pay the 700 rand for the wrong bottle of wine. The management was terrible, we had bad service and the site had multiple issues (for example, the pool was full of algae) We understand and expect some things to go wrong or mistakes to be made.. However, every single time something was problematic, the response from management was inappropriate and unprofessional. Other issues that were more minor but illustrates the poor management: - the guide had only 3 weeks of experience in the entire region
