This is by far one of my favorite places to camp in Cape Town. The views are absolutely breathtaking. It has a petite secluded beach which is great for kids. They have a play park for the kids as well. The plots are big enough to accommodate two good size tents or a caravan. All the plots have electrical points. The camp site is very popular amongst the locals but is also frequently visited by traveller's. They have a 24 hour ablution service which is staffed regularly. It is definately a must!!

This is a little gem of a campground. Beautiful campsites and beautiful view. Enough grassy areas for the kids and a jungle gym. Cosy little beach for swimming. However, no rubbish bins at the campsites because of the baboons that scavenges. Always make sure they cannot smell any food in your tent or caravan as they will find a way to enter and help themselves, damaging things in the process. Loud music is forbidden after 10pm although one family took this as permission to entertain all around them with slightly loud music during the day... the whole day... the whole weekend. Although I accept this is probably not the norm. I will definitely go again.

Campsite is great. Beautiful views. Park for the children to play. The facilities however cant cater for the amount of people the campsite . 2 women's showers and 3 toilets. 4 fire places.
One star for ridiculous booking procedure. Tourists, be warned - book in advance! Can't pay onsite! Can't get invoice onsite! This is a public campsite. Got to go to Simon's town, find the manager there, get the invoice, go to a different place to pay the invoice and only then you can get in by showing a paid invoice to the guard. I spent half a day chasing the manager by phone and going to Simon's town library - didn't find her, was told that she was on a leave. 0_0 The area itself is stunning, I found the place when I was planning my trip at home in Portugal! I wish I knew the procedure to book before I got there
