Two days into our SA trip, I started feeling sick and knew exactly what was happening, as I often get infections and require antibiotics. We called a few medical clinics but they were either closed or did not respond, so I took a chance by walking straight into this pharmacy. The pharmacist was the LOVELIEST person on Earth, took the time to listen and ask the right questions and got me my antibiotics right away. She was even worried that it would be too expensive for me, but it was 30 (so much cheaper than back home that I laughed in relief). Being sick while in a foreign country is extremely stressful and isolating but I am so thankful for this person.
