In Johannesburg, Sivana Diamonds is situated in Rosebank. The company features a jewellery store, where both jewellery and polished diamonds are sold to the public at unbeatable prices – a polishing factory that employs three diamond polishers, predominately women from previously disadvantaged backgrounds. These diamonds are then either sold individually or set in Sivana Diamond’s jewellery pieces. Sivana Diamonds is proud of its focus on empowerment – not only in terms of job creation, but in skills transfer and development too. Testimony to this is The Sivana Academy Apprenticeship Programme – Sivan’s school for previously disadvantaged individuals interested in jewellery design and craftsmanship. Students at The Sivana Academy Apprenticeship Programme are responsible for conceptualising and creating Sivana Diamonds’ Earth jewellery collection.
