Dr Jacqui lectured as an associate professor at the University of Johannesburg for four years on therapeutic interventions to Master’s and Doctorate students. She was introduced to Solution Focused Therapy by attending workshops presented by Steve de Shazer and Yvonne Dolan in the United Sates, and more recently attended workshops by Dr Linda Metcalf, Chris Iveson and Dr Elliott Connie. Dr Jacqui has also lectured at The University of Texas in collaboration with Prof Cynthia Franklin. Dr Jacqui is the Director of the Solution Focused Institute of South Africa where she presents Solution Focused Therapy lectures and workshops. Dr Jacqui also presents for the Milton H. Erickson Institute of South Africa and the University of Johannesburg.
