I was pleasantly surprised with how eager the Specsavers were to assist me, after a mistaken booking date, Zenobia stayed after hours to assist me knowing I had taken time off to be there, the eye test itself was high tech and excellently performed. Zenobia is friendly and warm and very interested in educating you about eye health. Chuffed with the overall service

Living in South Africa, one comes to accept that pretty much anywhere you go, you're going to get charged through the nose for very poor workmanship. Whether it's the private or public sector, they're all equally horrendous. Which is why I was so pleasantly surprised with Specsavers, I went in expecting very little and ended up with the best pair of prescription glasses I've ever owned. Sure they took a while, largely due to the December/New Years backlog, but in the end it was worth the wait.

* BE PREPARED TO WAIT * I thought I would get good service , but this was not at all the case. I did the full eye test and bought the buy one-get-one-free special (which is still rather pricey). I was told that they would arrive within 7-10 days, (however this did not happen) also that I would receive an sms when it arrived (this also never happened) after the wait I decided to go in as they should have arrived by now...After a roughly 15 min wait I got the first pair and had to return for the second at a later date. I should also mention that the special was sold to me by the sales team, I wanted another black frame as the special only ran on two of the same colours (fine print). They had no stock and committed to let me know two days later - nobody did! At this point I already paid for the first pair and was told that unfortunately the special had ended, I argued this as it is not what was arranged with their sales staff...after explaining everything management said that it was correct and that they sold it to me as the special said. After two weeks and again not receiving any sms I went back to the store, had to wait 15 minutes (the store was empty, as the previous time ) again while they packed out all of the stock which was obviously backlogged due to poor follow-ups and failing on behalf of client-relations. Sifting through each and every stock item, discussing meticulously what should happen to each one, and making me wait 15min for them to sort out their daily admin routine (which doesn't seem to happen daily) they found my glasses which did in fact arrive. I believe their stock and notification systems need to be updated.

This branch of SpecSavers truly rewrite the parameters of bad service. I wish it was possible to give them 0 stars. My wife and I will not use them again in future
