We align our Working Group’s activities with our Mission: Networking: we hold functions of interest to our membership and network partners Doing better business together: Working together, we can achieve more than we’d be able to achieve individually. When our members collaborate, they leverage the connections between Canadian and South African business to generate partnership-oriented investment; do business more sustainably, espousing the triple bottom line (people, planet, profit: social, ecological and economic sustainability); and find ways to make work and life more enjoyable for staff, whether they’re expatriates or proudly South African. Advocacy: We engage in a number of advocacy initiatives in South Africa, including Roundtable dialogues with the South African government; annual meetings with the Department of Trade & Industry on investor and government concerns (and planning to follow up on our first Roundtable with the Department of Mineral Resources on mining sector interests); and also with the Canadian government.
