A great position in town for the restaurant but something was missing within having eaten at the owners previous establishment which had their character. The food was good but not exceptional, the two of us at the table had the same meal but you would have thought the steak had been cooked by different chefs another table close by were complaining to the waiter but nobody came to the table. When next in town I will try again because I know what can be produced.

Lovely seating on the back stoep, the meals are yummy and very affordable
Well priced, clean and I had a wonderful veggie breakfast (not always possible). Rest of the family happy too. Recommended.
Second visit to this village restaurant and again we were not disappointed, our meals, "catch of the day" cob and spare ribs were both well prepared and presented with fresh salad and a good portion of fries. The food is good, the vibe relaxed, the staff friendly and attentive, but not overly so and the mix of memorable folk, country rock and other classic numbers piped through the speaker system at just the right volume altogether made up a most enjoyable evening meal.
Nice atmosphere. Good music and service. Limited menu. Delicious curries!!
Such lovely food . Everything on the menu is so delicious. Great place to see friends .
Loved it! A beautiful, tranquil setting with delicious food. Friendly and perfect service . Scrumptious bitter ballen. Worth going to (again and again and again...)
Stanford Kitchen is a lovely gem of a place. It's unpretentious, in a pretty and open setting and offers quietly tasty food for really good prices. The staff are friendly and the decor is understated. We sat on their outside patio, which has views of the sports fields and is very COVID friendly. We ate the spare ribs, the Cajun calamari and a Greek salad. All were very tasty. The small details like the just-right-saltiness, the good chorizo and the excellent fries show an attention to food details that foodies will appreciate. This is made all the better by the fact that you can bring your own wine at no extra cost - a lovely thing in the winelands. Would definitely recommend a visit.
