Spend a nice afternoon here. Honestly many South African red wines disappoint me (the wine farms are more about the ambiance), but here the wines were very delicate and tasteful. The lunch was also good . Not to mention the view.

Such a good ambiance under the trees. However there were only 3 selections for lunch. But the real star was the red wine! The 2018 wine tasted as if it has been sitting for at least 5 years. The dessert wine was also to die for! Bought 3 bottles on the way out... A must try! All 9 of us fell in love with their dessert wine. Hope to come back soon and try their promising wine tasting.

One of my favourite wine estates. Great wines, service and knowledgeable staff that makes visiting this wine estate a great pleasure to experience. Mostly top end red wines and a restaurant that everyone should try at least once in their lifetime.

Fantastic vibe Great food Awesome wines. Bread sticks or a warm roll with butter would hv been a special ' touch' with wine tasting- pre lunch.

Stunning farm. Service is great, friendly service. Beautiful views, lovely people working there, they all look like models. The restaurant was buzzing. Our wine tasting was great, such lovely, wines with mouthfuls of flavor and character.

I truly wish I could rate Rust en Vrede with 6 stars; their food is excellent every single time and their staff is so helpful and friendly. It is especially wonderful sitting outside under the trees, beautiful ambience all around.

I've been visiting this wine estate on a yearly basis since the late 90's and my collection of their wines have grown exponentially over the past few decades. However, today's experience left a bitter taste in my mouth. Staff were not knowledgeable on any old vintages nor did they show any enthusiasm on answering questions about vintages and the history of the winemakers. May I suggest a visit to Ernie Els and or Kanonkop Wine Estate to see how their staff operate.
