We purchased a worm box from The Compost Kitchen and as we have a small balcony I asked for an adjustment. The Compost Kitchen happily obliged, improved my design and provided me with a quote, all in a timely manner. Now we not only have an ingeniously designed horizontal migration worm box, we also have a place to store charcoal on our balcony! When we picked up the box we were given a tour of the operations. The Compost Kitchen is a great concept, with head and heart in the right place. I definitely encourage anyone who wants to make sustainable decisions to support this up-and-coming local enterprise. We’ve had the box for a week now and so far no worms have tried to escape, which is a sign that it is going well. The box came with a short but clear manual on how to run a successful worm farm. We are excited to harvest our vermicompost in a couple weeks’ time!
