The weekly online 'Drawing closer ' art classes with Taryn Millar have been such a wonderful inspiring experience. Different aspects of drawing are explored through discussions and studies of artworks from classical to contemporary styles, and there is time to draw to reinforce the new concept. Every week there are specific and interesting art exercises to practice after class.

I have attended quite a few of the figure drawing, mixed media and ink workshops, as well as the open studio classes that are offered at The Fine Arts Workshop. I always learn a tremendous amount in each class. Taryn is extremely knowledgeable and her workshops are intensely inspiring. I find that the classes are a powerful catalyst to start to understand the process of making art, and Taryn is always there to support, refine and encourage visual exploration, and to point the way forward when you get stuck! In my opinion she is one of the best art teachers that I have ever come across. I encourage anyone who is feeling stuck in their life's work to attend one of her courses.
