We absolutely loved our time at The Galley! Delicious food for both humans and pooches. The owner is so friendly (and his dog too) and so are the waiters. Thank you for being so accommodating to both us and our dogs and for welcoming our pooches with water upon arrival. We will definitely be back when visiting Ballito again!

Shew, what a way to start a holiday. Relax with a "shark bite" cocktail while watching the ocean and dining on great food. The oysters are a favorite, it seems, amongst guests. The sea food platter was beautifully prepared and the squid heads starters ... yum! Smell the salt of the ocean, lap up the beautiful view and sounds of waves crashing on the shore while being surrounded by quaint, quirky and inspiring decor. Highly recommend.

The view is what sells this place. Tue staff are friendly and attentive. Tue food is good all be it a little pricey Vs portions bit one has to remember what the overheads must be like for such a spot. Well worth your valuable holiday time in my opinion.

Great service received. I come here everytime that I am in Ballito. It was very busy today, but the service was great. They had more hands (runners) which is great. The food was fair. Portions were fair. Our fur baby enjoyed his chicken dish. I will be back again.

Food prepared fresh, so be prepared to wait a while for your order, but definitely worth the wait. Drinks are sublime. Would recommend the fish bowl, to be shared with at least 3 other people!

Spent over 40 minutes sitting and waiting for someone to deliver our drinks. I will not be retiring here ever. Sadly this was just the epitome of the disaster. Upon arriving we are not seated properly and had to find our own way. Our order was taken twice, firstly upon arrival and again after 30 minutes again, because they could not find our order. The whole time we are waiting for drinks to arrive. We waited another 10 minutes and had to track down the manager ourselves. Who was busy drawing beers, rather than attend to our complaints. Definitely not at COVID safe place as the tables are packed close to each other.

Still great ambience, amazing sea food and a range of other offerings, with lovely selections of wine, cocktails and desserts. Value for money, relaxed atmosphere to the sound of crashing waves. Worth a visit.

On the ocean, well priced and awesome food and the service is good. If you are in a rush this is not for you, just chill. I noticed a lot of people came with their kids, so while the parents chilled in the restaurant, the kids played on the beach. That is a bonus for those who don't have kids and might be annoyed by them, as they are far away from having fun playing in the rock pools on the beach sand.
