I highly recommend Mike as a guitar teacher. He is very knowledgable, patient, fun and friendly. He is skilled in a wide variety of styles and can teach at any level. He is always willing to tailor lessons to the wishes and needs of the student. I have learned loads through his cunning combination of tailored exercises and new music inspiration - he always seems to know what a student needs to move them to the next level.

I decided to engage with The Guitar School out of a sense of frustration in learning from apps, both free and paid. I had plateaued in my playing and needed a new approach. The Guitar School offered me the opportunity to engage one on one, addressing errors and issues directly. Lessons are guided but not rigid in structure. I believe I have been able to improve markedly under Mike’s tutelage. I would recommend them wholeheartedly.
