Awesome city getaway spot, great reception and facilities are top notch . Friendly staff and management is ever willing to assist visitors. Wel maintained and great for families with kids. Kids really enjoyed the spot and sufficient space for setting up your braai. Fishing spots are also well catered for. Highly recommended for family visits with kids

Very beautiful resort and well kept. The facilities are really clean and there’s a lot to see and families with kids will be well entertained with the animals on the property. Liezel is very welcoming and is pleasant to deal with and made sure everything was in order - thank you :) A day visit is too short and it would be better to stay overnight. The only downside is the entrance fee (R150 p.p) which is very steep regardless of the facilities compared to other places within the area. Would be appreciated if management could look into that and adjust it a bit
The staff were friendly, helpful and so welcoming...A family resort that accommodates fishing, swimming, peace of mind and just all round relaxation...definitely a place I'd visit again...Thank you everyone for an amazing day!!
What a lovely resort. Clean grounds,friendly staff, helpful owners. It was such a relaxed weekend had. The kids loved the fact that they could just go off on their own and explore. Beautiful accommodation. Well done . We will definitely be back.
Amazing place. Large grass area. Fishing spots. Comfortable and spacious. Hospitality is outstanding. And fun activities for adults and kids. Clean pools for adults and children.

Good, neat venue. Relaxing and secure. Child friendly. kid friendly pool. Horse rides as well. A great getaway. New units were clean and very comfortable.
The lodge is located on the Vaal River, about an hour from Johannesburg (watch out for the massive potholes on the road just as you exit the highway) Staff are very friendly and we were visited by the owner, who apart from the courteous hospitality, also regaled us with a brief and warm chat. The owner's daughter checked up on us regularly. The customer service is exceptional. The lodge is clearly amongst the top tier resorts/lodges within its vicinity, of which there are many. There is still a bit of construction underway but not to the point of it being an intrusion. There are two pools(both are fairly small) , a few chalets of various sizes, and a bank to fish or unwind from. Space for fishing and camping is limited so take that into consideration if you plan on going in larger groups. What sets the lodge apart are the small touches of finesse. The aesthetics, night lighting, customer service, etc. Overall, when departing, there is a sure feeling of gratification and comes recommended to vaal visitors.
