I have been to Pink Panther ten or more times and I can honestly say it’s my favorite place in Cape Town. I’ve read some other reviews here about the music and I don’t agree with all of them. I love the music here - specifically when Karl or Bruce DJ. But I guess it’s all down to what type of music you like. I prefer house dance music, and those two spin it best. I always feel safe there, which I appreciate - YES, keep your phones put away...it’s South Africa, and people do pick pockets. It has nothing to do with the club itself, though. There is a lot of room to dance without being overcrowded, and I love the fact there are a ton of places to sit. That’s something you don’t find in a ton of dance clubs. It’s nice to find gay clubs where everyone is welcome and accepted - regardless of sexual identity. Drinks here are always the same price - no shady bartenders. And all of the bartenders are attentive and friendly. I always feel very welcome here. AND HELLO - the bathrooms are always CLEAN. Another rarity in a busy dance club. I’ll be back many more times for sure.

I am appalled by the way I was treated at this venue. I was hungry and upon arrival I was informed the venue didn’t even offer any snacks. I asked the waiter if I could order food to be delivered and he said yes. I ordered food and upon arrival the food was ripped out of my hands and I was physically forced off site. If this was America, I would have grounds to sue this place. Lucky you, in SA, it’s not worth my while. One star is an overstatement.

Very very nice dance floor but the music is not good. They should find a good DJ to play nice dance music. The biggest problem was the cut of between the songs. Up and down. Its also a very clean club which is great.

Went to Pink Panther with my sister and her friends. And overall a good club, even for staight guys. Only thing is. It's illegal to not offer free water at clubs and bars in South Africa and Pink Panther forced you to buy bottled water. And this is something the public should know about.

Worst club ever. They make you queue when it’s not full, not worth your time or energy

I had one of the best night outs in this club. I would definitely fly out to Cape Town and this club again. Here’s why: 1. Friendliness of the bar owner and staff (Excellent customer service) I am a foreigner in this country but everyone in the bar was very welcoming and accommodating. Everyone treated me and my partner so well and kept us happy, South Africa in general isn’t necessarily the safest place, and the staff reminded us of what to do / not to do to ensure our safety. 2. Music It is a matter of preference, however I do like the fact that the DJs play mainstream music that we all could sing along. 3. Space I absolutely love the layout because it is spacious. It’s just square-shaped - so I find it convenient and easy for the crowd to move around. They also have a lot of space for people to sit down, and it’s great for people like me who get tired of dancing after 30 mins. The bar counter is also quite long so it was easy to get drinks. 4. Cleanliness It’s easily the cleanest club I’ve ever been to. The toilets are super clean even after midnight! 5. Diversity of the crowd I actually love that the crowd is mixed - a lot of straight people come here too. Some of the staff are Muslims and they’re very welcoming to the LGBTQ community. I was born a Muslim and born in a Muslim-majority country and it is very rare to see that to happen. It is very nice to see how integrated the community is here, and how people from different backgrounds are so accepting of one another - it gave me hope! I cannot wait to come back here!!! Note: South Africa, especially in Cape Town and Johannesburg isn’t the safest place in general. Please be mindful that everywhere you go you would need to ensure that your wallet and phones are secured. I was told to keep my phone in my underwear/deep in my pocket to keep it safe from pickpockets. However, I heard from other patrons that the security is quite professional to ensure the safety inside the walls.
