Better management is urgently needed. Northern Cape MEC needs to step in to resolve this municipality poor service delivery and financial mismanagement. Auditor General will never give any good audit outcome if private and mining companies still has to invest in fixing their own roads and infrastructure with additionally paying double on incorrect billed municipal accounts.

Probably one of the worst municipalities in the country, this may sound like an exaggeration, but it is not. The few few tarred roads in the town are in a worse condition than the dirt roads. Water and electricity outages occur on a monthly basis, for various reasons. The municipality has seemingly insurmountable debts, and is clearly severely maladministered.
