UNBELIEVABLY PATHETIC & UNWELCOMING STAFF SERVICE! Nice as you are, the staff seemed disturbed from the moment you walk in to seeing a consultant making you feel UNWELCOME! They don't engage and sympathize in your conversation, especially when you've stated that you've been through emergency matters, But due to certain regulations, they end up not willing to assist you in anything as SIMPLE AS A SIM SWAP!? It's real tragic that a Prominent Company such as Telkom, Let alone a Mall like Gateway has to have Their reputation tarnished by such intolerable and unethical display of customer service. The OTHER store does have some excellent staff in the past years. Should nothing be done about this then They might as well just do themselves a favor, Save themselves the money and fame and discontinue this stall!

You wait in line for almost two hours, in the line there are senior citizens, pregnant ladies and no one even bothers to ensure they are attended to. The line is long the wait is of that of a very slow government facility like home affairs and the clinic. Honestly sitting should be organized because you need it. I'm in line and I don't feel like a customer . Rather charity case

The staff here give this store a bad reputation. When speaking to them they act like you disturb them. They don't tell you much. You have to go to another Telkom store to find out if things are done or not. Very bad Staff they have to ask another staff for help. When you have no store, then we're this staff will home to "cut grass ?" Telkom is a good Brand, but staff is BAD.

Children are not allowed in the store. I had exhausted all other options before making a trip to the Gateway store. I get to the store, with masks, sanitized our hands and was told that my kids(ages 7and 6) are not allowed in the store and I should have them seated at the entrance while I walk to the back of the shop to be assisted by their technician. The entrance/exit of Gateway is at their doorstep. I asked if the technician could not come to me as I sat at the entrance with my kids and that I would never leave my children unattended. The answer was no. This is just to check my phone and then determine what was wrong. I had to walk to the technician, give him my phone and walk back to my children. The manager was of no use, as I asked to speak to the manager. He spoke to the employee a few feet away from me without acknowledging me. Told the employee what to say to me and stayed there. Like robots. I knew then that it was useless expecting any kind of common sense or service from the people I dealt with at the branch. The technician was very helpful and pointed out the problem. Also walking back to me at the front. That's all it took. I did not ask for any special treatment, other than me making sure my children are safe. Tell your call centres to make people aware that children are no longer allowed into your shops, also make people aware of that when taking out new business with you to avoid the inconvenience of having to potentially expose their family to being a crime statistic. I understand that company policy needs to be put in place. But sometimes in the service industry all you have to be is human.

Would have given zero stars if possible, absolutely no help from staff. Rather chat amongst themselves than serve customers

I come in to renew my contract with Telkom. Firstly I get sent to someone I didn't want to be sent to when everyone else was available . The assistant, Zama Zulu didn't even ask me what contract I am currently on, what is my budget , what phone I want. She just said they don't have phones at the moment or something and showed me a display area without even finding out anything from me.. Surely the manager could have been more hands on here. I walked into MTN opposite them and now will probably renew there as they knew what they were doing and were so helpful. You can put this right by contacting me with information I need. Before I cancel
