Government facilities are constantly failing its people. I'm from Mpumalanga and I had some admin to do at the Emfuleni Municipality. I came here last week Thursday and they told us that the system had been "offline" for almost FOUR DAYS. We got the number of a security guard that was working that day and asked them to call us when they are back online. Flash forward to Monday and we got a call that the system was finally online again. When we arrive on Tuesday from Mpumalanga, we were greeted with disappointment yet again. The staff told us that the system had been offline for about 20 minutes. So many people are getting turned away because of systems being "offline" and what's worse is that we as the people have no way of knowing if that is even true. Someone told us just now that the system is offline because when they shut the power down at some places, it disturbs the server (???). I don't know if this is true, but government facilities need to do better. This is not the democracy we signed up for.
