A little away of from the main route you will find the cemetery and this memorial site dedicated to British soldiers who died in battle during the Anglo Boer War, sad also is to note the mentioning of drowning amongst the soldiers. Quiet place and being close to the bird sanctuary you can hear bird song and experience stillness as only sites of this kind can provide.
