Great hike! You will definitely need a hiking stick and good hiking boots! Multiple waterfalls slightly hectic when going uphill. Lots of shade no need to worry about sun! Trail is well marked. Must bring own picnic items . A 4x4 is a recommendation when accessing the farm. I love it love it love it

Absolutely beautiful hiking trail. Did the 10km in 5hours with plenty of stops to admire the scenery and have a snack at the waterfall. Winding in and out of the forest and river scenry into a dry woody space into a beautiful open field. Mountain rocks to pass by and a view of the valley that will take your breath away.

Lovely! Highly recommended hiking spot! Loved every moment of it! I do, however, wish they would be other distant options like 5/6km

We booked for the 2 day Bloutrein Hiking Trail. What a great weekend away. Well marked and maintened trails, superb overnight accommodation. By far the prettiest trail has to be the second day back from Pongola Express to Blou Bos Retreat, you spend most of the hike in hidden crevices in the hills. Absolutely worth the challenge.

We stayed in BlouBos retreat. House was simple and practical. The donkey geyser is a feature you don’t see as often anymore, but works well! The hikes were pristine! Would recommend visiting Wathaba!

Such a magical place! The hiking trails are absolutely gorgeous with numerous waterfalls and the cottage is so quaint. We got engaged here and it was such a special experience!

Well maintained and marked hiking trails. Stayed in Kiepersolkamp. Accomodation is neat and clean. Cast iron pots, skillet and pan provided to run a "bush" kitchen on the fire. Staff are friendly, willing to assist and quuck to address any concerns. Overall a fantastic experience!!!!
