I have to admit, this blockhouse was one of the bonuses of a short tour with the Ceres tourism office. The block house was built by the british to protect the railway line from Cape Town. It was built in the 1899's and it stood the test of time. This particular block house is still well preserved thanks to Wolseley.
Very well maintained and interesting to visit.
History is my subject. Loved the experience.
