I have used the services of this repair shop twice during the last year and I wholeheartedly recommend this shop. In both instances repairs on a VCR/DVD combo and a samsung TV were done on a timely fashion and for a very reasonable cost. They are knowledgeable, honest and engaging.

XBytes Repair Centre on Linksfield Road MUST be the worse electronics repair shop I’ve EVER had the displeasure of dealing with. Don’t know how they even call themselves a Repair Centre. I took my B&W 15inch Active Sub in for repairs and to replace the coil and surrounds, as well as my Jamo AMP (Front Channels not working) and Jamo 707 Speakers (Needed new Woofer surrounds). When I collected the Sub, I pointed out a rattle on the speaker to the technician but was told it was nothing. I ended having to pay the person who bought the Sub from me to get it repaired properly, the same day I collected it, because the coil was out of alignment and the surrounds were done so poorly….this was after the second time I had to take the 50KG sub back. Absolutely Pathetic. The Surrounds on the Jamo Speakers were done so poorly…the attached pic speaks for itself, then…after 2 more weeks of non-communication from the owner (Keith), never answering calls or even bothering to return calls, and after I sent countless WhatsApp's, I finally got my amp back. I tested it when I got home and still not working….then Keith had the audacity to ask me to bring it back in and tell him what is wrong with it, after charging me R1200 for a repair….a 16-year-old could have tested it and told him what was wrong. I took it back in because after asking for a refund, he offered to “FIX” it and it was no surprise when I tested it in the store, that it was still not working. So, I ended up spending R1200 on my amp repair, R800 on my Sub Surrounds, and coil plus another R1300 on the Jamo speaker surrounds and Nothing was repairs. I had to pay another company extra to redo the poor attempting at a repair, XBytes Repair Centre did on my equipment. An absolutely Joke. Would rate Zero Stars if I could.
The technician arrived when he said he would. He fixed my problem efficiently and made no mess. He was friendly and I would have no hesitation in using X-bytes Repair Centre again.
Great experience with Xbytes Repair Centre. I had a tv with a faulty motherboard. Contacted the manufacturer who were unable to help as it was out of warranty. They told me about Xbytes Repair Centre who were extremely helpful. Quick, efficient and polite service. Fair prices. Excellent all round. Well done.
Great Service. Had my samsung tv and my rotel amplifier repaired by them, very happy with the cost of the repair. will be returning with more of my equipment in the future.

WARNING - DO NOT USE X-BYTES REPAIR CENTRE- I took my TV here to be repaired on the 12th of March 2020. Each month the ower Keith Kasinaubare would tell me the same story the supplier is sending the parts and he cannot give me an ETA. Because i wanted to give him the chance to fix the TV i decided to continue waiting for the Part and phone Keith each month to ask him what is the update. Each month Keith avoids your phone calls and will never return them. I must chase after him to get an update. Eventually i became frustrated with his ghosting me and told him i would like to come collect my TV and want a refund he took for the deposit for the part. He now conveniently has no records of the deposit i gave him and i must provide the proof of payment. So i provide the proof of payment and he says he will pay me back. Guess what it is 2021 - 03 29 and still no REFUND for my TV deposit i paid !!! In short, i must now go down to the police station and open a case of theft against this business. Hopefully someone reads this post before they take in their TV and dont make the same mistake i did !!
