Young Aspiring Thinkers is located in Johannesburg, South Africa on 9 Walters St, Rosebank,. Young Aspiring Thinkers is rated 5 out of 5 in the category career guidance service in South Africa. Young Aspiring Thinkers is a non - profit organisation which aims to give exposure to grade 11 & 12 students in highschool, to career opportunities and other opportunities which could help them in their development. This is achieved by using a "speed - dating" solution but the career version where we invite young professionals excelling in their respective professions, to serve as mentors for the students on the day. The mentors speak to about two students at a time, for roughly +/- 5min where they give the students an insight into what they do, what their job looks like on the day to day, what degree they studied and other pieces of advice which could help them. This is beneficial as the students get exposed to multiple careers in one day. Usually we have a mix of professionals from entrepreneurs, to consultants, to doctors, to football coaches, to marketeers. All giving young South African students a view into their career and food for thought, for their futures. The vision behind the organisation is that many people in high school are not exposed to a diverse array of professions outside of Law, Engineering, Medicine & Accounting. This leaves young students feeling like their paths in life are limited even though there's a diverse array of professions once university is completed. Young Aspiring Thinkers also aims to target schools in South Africa where opportunities and access to information is limited. These are public schools mainly located in townships where there are plenty of bright young students but are not being exposed to the necessary information. We simply aim to be one of the most transformational young led movements in the country!
