We went to the Yzervark Bar & Bistro on the 18th of April 2021. The place was quite empty on initial observation. It is also wheelchair accessible. There are lots of seating available on the inside and outside. Sadly, no COVID-19 protocols were followed. There is a non-smoke and non-alcohol zone for those who are interested. There is a play area for the children as well. Nice atmosphere with music playing the background. No hand sanitiser was available at the table. No-one came to do fever-checking. There was no attendance register to sign-in. Big variety of menu items available. We ordered the Yzervark Breakfast, Bacon Egg and Cheese Toasty as well as the Cheese and Tomato Toasty. We wanted milkshakes but no stock was available. There was a shortage of butter. The waiter went across the road to get fresh butter. The food was okay with the only concern being the freshness of the chips. It wasn't crunchy fresh. They offer beer on tap, and on request of what they have available the waiter offered to bring a taster of what they currently have on tap. The taster never arrived, and I would have ordered beer if the beer was nice. There was initial confusion when the bill arrived. All items are labelled DEPT02. If you do eat at Yzervark Bistro and Bar it is wise to write down your own order and that way you know which item is which, especially in the case if you are many people. Scenery and atmosphere is great, but the food experience wasn't there. We recommend driving along the R315 and seeing what other treasures Yzerfontein has to offer.

The Gin bar and Bistro is a great place to go, the Wrights craft gin is really excellent, had more than a taste !!
Lovely venue but disorganised. Terrible food. Very limited choices and servers are non-existent.
Best toasties and fries. Although they were a bit scarce on the fries. And the farm bread they used was really good and fresh
The place is dirty. Felt unwelcome. Coffee was the worst.
This place is a disgrace and should be avoided at all cost! Worse experiance ever at an eatery. One star for this place is far too much!
Was market day and it was awesome. Food is really good and good value for money. Lived the live singer. Enjoyed my time there and will be back for more visits.
The best place. Service with a smile and humble owners. Will definitely go again
