One of the more difficult hiking trails. You go straight up 100 m on every km. Down is as difficult on old 4x4 roads with loose rock's. Dam on top is worth a visit. Not everyday that you find frog's in Gauteng.

What an incredible 4x4 experience. Definitely worth trying. Course comprises of a chicken run for those not so daring, and a bull run for the thrill seeking enthusiasts.

The 4x4 Action Group spent this last Saturday doing the Sable Ranch 4x4 Trail. 18 vehicles participated. We were welcomed by Tian and after the formalities we split into 2 groups, one group started with the short river run and the other group went to the obstacle course across the road. We all the headed up the mountain which we would grade as a 3 for an experienced driver but challenging for a novice in a completely standard vehicle. We spent some time on top of the mountain taking in the views before heading down the challenging return road, where you have to pick your line very carefully. After the run we were accommodated at a different braai area because we changed our plans. The pleasant Marilie helped us quickly and efficiently. All in all a fun day was had by all of the participants. Thank you!
