So disappointed we drove all the way from PE, first we struggle to check in but finally we got in,, into our arrival our room we noticed that the place is dirty no hygiene at all. We had to literally clean the room by ourselves me and my partner into an extent that we had to ask a friend to accommodate for a night. We spoke to the lady call Mada from Evolve to assist us perhaps looking for another place then she said all places are fully booked, and we asked her can she at least send someone to come clean our room. She promised but nothing up until now Keep in mind we booked from 28 March -05 April. In my life I never experience this and see a filthy place like this. So for me 0 rating. Wish I can make this public.

I think one thing must be clear: The Heriot is the housing complex. The Happy Home is from whom I rented a unit there. The apartment is very nice and modern. I really like the location for being central and close to everything. Of course you must be aware city canter is dangerous an empty at night. But the building is safe. It was very easy to collect the key: you receive your password to access the building and the lockbox by the door of the room. Could have AC or a fan, Cape Town can be a hot town in summer. But the problem was that breakfast was not delivered. I sent them a message saying I waited and then had to check-out and it's more than 12h later and never replied to me.

We had the worse experience at this hotel. As you read there the promise parking to their guest's but you get there and there is no parking. There is no parking there and then they tell me to go and stop at pick and pay parking lot which will cost me R200 a day. Coming from Pretoria all my possessions are in my car. I remember asking about parking and even pressed the button to special request it but the booking manager never told me there is no parking. She couldn't care less. All they worry about is money and when I asked for my money back she said no that the cancellation fee is the full amount. So you loose all your money. So don't make online payments to them. I did ask to make the full payment at the hotel but the booking manager said there will be a prepayment which was the whole amount. We lost over R4000. I wouldn't mind paying a cancellation fee but R4000 is a lot. So we just got out of the car to quickly go into the shop and came back to a clamped tire. So the construction workers and security guards work hand in hand to scam people to make money. They negotiate between them how much we needed to pay to take it off and then they were surrounding us and following me fearing for my life I had to run around the streets for them to leave me alone. This place is dangerous and I think all of them are just digging their hands deep into our pockets. (Read their reviews you will save yourself a lot of money and not worth it putting your life at risk). Payment without accommodation is stealing. The Heriot should be closed down and forgotten. And Booking.com should take them of their site because the hotel give them a bad name.

I received a shocking service and treatment on arrival at the heriot city center apartments. When I got there, i encountered a rude and arrogant gentleman who screamed that my booking was null and invalid because I didn't pay online. I tried to explain that on the booking.com website it says I should pay at the property to no avail as he kept speaking over me. He ended up saying that The Heriot City Centre Apartments does not recognize bookings from booking.com. I was left stranded, as a result I drove to the Waterfront in Cape Town which is a relatively safe environment an I ended up making an emergency booking at Radisson Red which turned out to be expensive but I had no choice because the curfew was nearing. Later on, the owner of the Heriot City Apartments, contacted me and offered me to stay in a two bedroom apartment where I'll be sharing with a stranger. But that's not what I booked for, I had selected a private one bed apartment because of wanting to avoid interaction with strangers due to the pandemic. After this experience, I got second thoughts about booking stays on booking.com. It seems some of their listings are bogus and this leaves travelers in a potentially dangerous situation.
